Brownies
Oven Temp: 325 F Makes: 9 Brownies Cook Time: 30 min
You will need:
Prepared 8x8 nonstick baking dish
1/2 C Salted Butter
2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1/2 C Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 C All Purpose Flour
1/2 C Cocoa Powder
Pinch of Salt
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
Prepare 8x8 nonstick baking dish by greasing and lining with parchment paper
Whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon. Put dry mix aside
Melt the butter
Mix together butter, oil, sugars, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder until the cocoa is completely mixed in
Whisk in eggs until completely combined
Fold in dry ingredients with a rubber spatula until just combined
Bake for 30 minutes until center is just set
Lest cool, cut, and enjoy!
TIPS:
Do NOT omit the olive oil. The oil adds a complex flavor that enhances the chocolate flavor
fold in about 1/2 cup of nut, chocolate chips, or any other brownie mix in you enjoy!
If you have the time, cover the baking dish and let the batter rest in the fridge overnight. It lets the flavors mix and intensify. Just let the batter come to room temp before you bake the next day
